Ceci n' est pas une pipe and a picture is kissing my head

While acknowledging the wonders of online self-presentation and mythologies such as that a picture is worth a thousand words, nothing compares to the effort of writing a "confessional" piece or to the reality check of face-to-face encounters and lived experiences. However, no matter what you say or what you do, or the medium you choose to communicate with others, what do matters (at least to me),  is the amount of skin you put in the game.

I could tell you that I have an eclectic education, and a professional background ranging from picking up apples in a field to cooking for a crowd, a degree in psychology, caring for, riding and falling from horses, video & sound recording (and editing), pouring (badly) pints in a bar, computer animation and multimedia,  caring for the elderly in an institution ( and crying every night after my shift), guiding tourist in a castle, selling whatnot in a fleamarket, teaching third level education, pretending to sing in an opera, writing for a soap-opera and making graphics for film and everyday life... Many of these works have come to me by chance and some have turned to be great learning experiences opening up new challenges and exciting avenues.

Because this is a rhetorical space I could tell anything I want and I could show any flattering picture of myself and the work I have done but until you see me, talk to me, and see how I work you won't know, because ceci n'est pas une pipe even if a picture is kissing my head.
